☉ Deity of Death
Loo-see-el
One of the original Twelve gods. Their serene smile is like the caress of a breeze, with the slight chill of a bitter memory.
Their kindness belies their distance, preferring to keep others at arm’s length. They seem to be absent from all matters that concern both divine and mortal beings. Yet, their mere presence brings immutable peace, and you can confidently say they are the kindest of all the gods.
Luciel dresses as conservatively as the rest of the Twelve. The bottom of their robes have flourishes of flowers, similar to gods with other depictions of nature.
Their appearance does not change, however they choose to identify.
Their robes are slightly dull in color, unlike other gods who prefer more vivid hues and striking designs. This is primarily due to their lack of interest in standing out, but also to avoid looking festive when they regularly deal with graver matters.
BODY
LUCIEL
The enigmatic deity of death, who treads upon the ground so carefully, as if conscious of the burden they place on it. They drift with all the gentleness of a leaf upon a stream, yet they seem to float above it all--mortal and divine affairs alike. Their distance betrays them; as composed as they appear, you are the only one who has gotten close enough to see the hidden depth within their eyes.
LINEAGE
Luciel is one of the original Twelve gods who banded together to restore order the natural forces of the world, thus allowing all mortals to prosper on its soil.
APPEARANCE
At first glance, one would be drawn to Luciel's long red hair, with two intricate braids layered over it; their green eyes compel the second. They have pale skin and sharp angles that makes them appear androgynous. Their smile is patient and kind, as delicate as one's last breath.
HEART
PERSONALITY
Thoughtful, mild-mannered, meticulous, earnest, dutiful.
Distant, conflict-averse, indecisive, anxious, diffident.
RELATIONSHIP TO MC
They work together in the afterlife. MC is the only one Luciel interacts with on a regular basis, and the only one they afford their free time to; they typically prefer their own company.
SPIRIT
AMONG MORTALS
Many revere the deity of death, as the guide to humans' eternal resting place; however, they rarely interact with the living world, and little lore has been disclosed of them. They're entirely closed off from the world beyond theirs, which makes others uncertain despite their gratitude.
TESATA DICERAGA
Luciel is typically given flowers, especially of the white variety, which symbolize death as they are used to pay respects to the deceased.
"Tesata diceraga means sacred information within the language of the world, which is specifically to refer to the lore of the gods.
