☉ Deity of Misfortune

Show-sah-nah

Deity of misfortune and suffering, child of the deity of natural disasters and the goddess of the moon and stars. Their smile is charming and practiced, yet the corners of their mouth twist with mischief.

Plagued by the role of their own existence, Ciocana manages to maintain their confidence, quick-witted and charismatic, yet biting and cynical. Though they're not well-liked among deities, this appears to bother them little.

They dress in the cosmopolitan style of the mortals, enjoying finer tastes in clothes. Although they typically wear black, which they find stands out in a sea of colorful deities, they also like to wear red on other occasions. Ciocana is always decked in a luxurious amount of cloth, or covered in fine fabric.

If they are presenting femininely or masculinely, they will typically default to clothes that match their identity. However, they enjoy wearing dresses and suits, regardless, and will switch on occasion.

Death is, indeed, the last and grandest celebration of human life; one must look their best in whatever they're buried with. Why continue to indulge in misfortune?

BODY

CIOCANA

The mischievous deity of misfortune. Their smile is like molasses, sickly sweet as if to ensnare. Despite what their domain suggests, Ciocana is playful and charming, and follows where thrill goes—but there is a startling sharp look in their eyes, as if measuring the world. Judging it in its entirety. They don't like what they see.

LINEAGE

They are the child of Mirabella, the deity of weather and natural disasters, and Giulia, the goddess of the moon and stars. Ciocana's siblings include Rodas, the god of commerce and wealth, and Fausto, the deity of wine and gratitude.

APPEARANCE

Artfully tousled black hair and dark, intelligent eyes. Their lips are always twisted into a mocking smile. They like to wear bountiful fabrics and laces of black or dramatic red to wear over their dusky skin. They stand at 5'9 / 175cm

HEART

PERSONALITY

Bold, adventurous, charismatic, good-humored, forgiving.

Reckless, cynical, overly independent, bitter, distrusting.

RELATIONSHIP TO MC

Although Ciocana aims to cause chaos and trouble for others, any mischief towards MC is relatively light-hearted. They seem to sense a kinship with MC for both being outcasts; for this, they're more open to being truthful to them that they don't offer anyone else.

SPIRIT

AMONG MORTALS

Many in higher circles and ambitious city-dwellers fear the deity of misfortune, as if a force of evil that threatens their hard-earned success. Surprisingly, however, they seem to have a small, but dedicated following within the commonfolk. Depending on who you speak to, they're either a deity who rains bad fortune by their mere presence, or an entity who protects others from hardship in spite of their reputation.

TESATA DICERAGA

Common people typically offer their abundance, such as extra wheat or money they receive, for thanks to Ciocana for protecting them during bad times and giving back during good times. For wealthier folks, however, they tend to avoid worship of them.

"Tesata diceraga means sacred information within the language of the world, which is specifically to refer to the lore of the gods.
